Theresa Power
Librarian at Centre for Equitable Library Access (CELA)
My work at CELA is detail oriented and client focused, driven by the purpose of increasing access to materials that would otherwise be unavailable to people with print disabilities. The range of my responsibilities has expanded beyond the selection of books for original production to include the maintenance of strong working relationships with international libraries that participate in the Trusted Intermediary Global Accessible Resources (TIGAR) program and commercial audio publishers. My dedication to improving access to titles is further demonstrated by my membership on the OLA Forest of Reading Red Maple and White Pine Selection Committees and the Best Bets Committee. I advocate for kids with print disabilities and provide guidance on accessible and inclusive programming.
